The Kamloops Climate Action Grant aims to enable residents, non-profit organizations, and charities to undertake community-based climate action focused projects that will help advance priority actions in the Community Climate Action Plan.
Eligible applicants are encouraged to propose creative, equitable and community-driven projects that have the potential to advance one or more of the following objectives:
- Provides a direct benefit to the Kamloops community, urban environment, and/or ecosystem
- Supports the implementation of the Community Climate Action Plan
- Enhances community resilience to climate change and/or reduces greenhouse gas emissions
- Fosters neighbourhood pride and/or community wellness
- Respects the principles of equity and climate justice
Applicants can apply for between $500 and $2,000 in funding.
