The following outlines rules and safety for skating in our arena.
Please follow directions provided from arena and skate staff and posted rules. Additional rules are provided on signage within the facility and may be presented in person by a staff member.
- Unsafe behaviour is not allowed.
- No horseplay.
- No food, gum, or drink on the ice.
- No use of earphones or handheld devices on the ice.
- Helmets are mandatory for children under 13 years of age
- No carrying children or babies on the ice
- No strollers, walkers, chairs or footwear allowed on the ice.
- Report all injuries/incidents to staff immediately.
- Persons under the influence of drugs and alcohol are not permitted.
- Violence, foul language, intimidation, and abusive behaviours are not permitted.
- Use of image recording devices is not permitted in the change rooms.
- Photography and video is not permitted without prior consent from City staff, and at no time permitted in change rooms or washrooms.
- Patrons are required to remain clothed unless in a private change room/cubicle.
- Lock or store your belongings. The City of Kamloops is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Children under 7 years of age must be supervised by an adult who is wearing skates.
- All participants are required to wear helmet and gloves.
- No goalies, slapshots or scrimmages are permitted.
- Bring your own stick, pucks and rings.
- No additional training equipment allowed on the ice (shooter tutors, stick handling aids, cones, etc.).
- Children aged 12 and under to play with their adult guardian.
- This program is for players 19 years and older.
- A waiver must be signed prior to entering the program.
- Photography and video recording are not permitted any City facility without the City’s approval. Cameras, smartphones, and other recording devices are strictly prohibited unless prior approval is received from the City.

- Ensure your conversation, behaviour, and language are appropriate for a public facility that caters to all cultures, diversities, and age groups.
- Drugs, alcohol, and items that would be deemed as weapons are prohibited on site.
- Cameras, smartphones, and other electronic recording devices are strictly prohibited unless prior approval from the City is given.
- Please report any witnessed misconduct or suspicious activity to facility staff.
