We like to recognize the dedicated citizens of Kamloops who work hard to build, maintain, and grow healthy communities. The awards that the City currently presents are as follows:

Exemplary Service Award

The Exemplary Service Award was initiated by the Mayor and Council to acknowledge those who, over a period of time, have dedicated their time and service to the well-being of our community and its citizens.

Freedom of the City Award

The Freedom of the City is the highest honour that can be bestowed by the City. It can be conferred on a distinguished person or unit of the the armed forces of Canada or another nation as a result of a unanimous decision of the members of City Council.

Overlander/Pioneer Spirit Award

The Pioneer Spirit Award is only presented in exceptional circumstances and for extraordinary accomplishments. The statue represents the pioneer spirit and strength of character of those who built our community.
