Zoning Bylaw No. 55 Home Based Businesses Regulations

“Home-Based Business” means a commercial undertaking carried on for gain or profit that is accessory and subordinate to the principal Residential Use of the Dwelling Unit subject to the regulations of Division 3, Section 3.3, of this bylaw.

Home-Based Businesses shall not include daycare facilities; Bed and Breakfasts; meat cutting; or any undertaking in respect of which motor vehicles are serviced, sold, leased, or otherwise dealt with.

Zoning Requirements

Home-Based Businesses are permitted in conjunction with all residential uses in the zones listed in Divisions Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, and Twelve, of Zoning Bylaw No. 55, except within an accessory dwelling unit in a commercial zone, subject to the regulations of Division 3, Section 3.3 Home Based Business. 

All Home-Based Businesses in the City shall comply with the requirements/regulations listed in this document and below.
