City of Kamloops Bike Rodeo
CMore than 125 youth participated in the 3rd annual City of Kamloops Bike Rodeo, held May 9, 2009 at Northills Mall. This Safer City initiative was part of National Police Week activities and provided a venue for kids to test their bike smarts in a safe, fun environment.

RCMP auxiliary officers educated the 5 - 12 year olds about helmet safety, rules of the road, and proper hand signals by taking them through a series of stations including the Driveway Ride Out, Crazy Crossroads, and Rock Dodge!

Event Sponsors: City of Kamloops; Kiwanis Downtown; British Columbia Parks and Recreation Association; Active Communities; Bicycle Cafe; RCMP; Kamloops Brain Injury Association; CN
