On a typical day in British Columbia…

There will be 695 motor vehicle crashes

215 people will be injured in these crashes, including 4 cyclists and 6 pedestrians

At least 1 person will die in a motor vehicle crash

This means… there is one motor vehicle crash approximately every two minutes and someone is injured in a motor vehicle crash almost every seven minutes... each day.

Kamloops Safer City, spearheaded by the City of Kamloops, is a collaborative partnership between the City, RCMP, and ICBC, with an overall goal of making our roads safer for pedestrians, motorists, cyclists, and transit users.

We hope the information provided here will help to educate and inspire Kamloops residents to become active participants in the Kamloops Safer City Program. By becoming more aware of safe road practices within our community and participating in even the smallest of ways, you can help improve road safety for everyone in Kamloops.
