Kamloops, B.C. - On Saturday April 17th, the City of Kamloops will be hosting a public forum at the Interior Savings Centre (300 Lorne St.) to establish a community dialog to gather feedback on work completed to date on the Sustainable Kamloops Plan.
The Sustainability Forum runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes a variety of informative displays, presentations, workshops and group discussions. A video capturing the vision of a Sustainable Kamloops will be unveiled at this forum. The workshops are open to anyone interested in participating in shaping the goals and directions for the Sustainable Kamloops Plan.
Panel presentations will open the forum and discuss some past accomplishments in the key areas of sustainability in the community as well as opportunities for further action; Environmental Sustainability will be presented by Glen Farrow, Environmental Services Supervisor for the City, Social Responsibility will be presented by Jennifer Casorso, Social Development Supervisor for the City and Economic Sustainability will be presented by Dan Sulz, CEO of Venture Kamloops.
Shortly after the presentations, workshops will begin on the following topics:
All workshops are 50 minutes in length and will run concurrently at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. There will be banners to identify each workshop in the Parkside Lounge and Rivers Room.
